Campaign Chat
The Campaign Chat is the conversation that lives at the campaign level of an epic β the place where you brief the campaign as a whole, pick channels, set the objective, and tell Glowtify to generate the individual content tasks.
If you're working on a specific task (a single post, email, ad), you're in the Task Chat β a different surface in the same page, scoped to that one task. For the patterns common to every chat in Glowtify, see Working with the AI chat.
Where it livesβ
When you open an epic at /epics/:id/edit/:epicId, the campaign view is the default. The Campaign Chat is the conversation surface on the right side β the input is anchored to the bottom of the panel, the history scrolls above.
You switch into the Campaign Chat any time you click on the epic's name or the campaign view tab. You switch out of it by selecting a specific task from the task list.
What it's forβ
The Campaign Chat is the brain of the campaign β the place where the high-level decisions get made before any individual asset is generated.
Use it for:
- Briefing the campaign β describe your campaign vision, the objective, the timing
- Choosing channels β Glowtify proposes a mix, you can ask for changes ("add Instagram", "drop email")
- Setting buyer personas + context β the chat surfaces what it knows about your brand and proposes additions
- Generating all the tasks in one go β once the brief is solid, ask Glowtify to generate the content tasks for every selected channel
- Iterating at the campaign level β bigger pivots ("change the angle to focus on sustainability") get applied across all tasks at once
The brief questionnaireβ
The Campaign Chat walks you through a structured brief, one block at a time:
- Concept β the central idea of the campaign
- Objective β awareness, conversions, retentionβ¦
- Buyer personas β drawn from your Business DNA, with the option to add/edit inline
- Content reference β past assets, competitor inspiration, attached files
- Channels β which surfaces will carry the campaign
- Timing β dates, key moments, sequencing
You don't have to fill them all upfront β the chat will prompt for what's missing when you ask to generate. You can also skip ahead by stating multiple at once ("Black Friday campaign, conversions, Meta + LinkedIn + email").
Power-up toolsβ
The Campaign Chat can drive structural changes on the epic from inside the conversation. Type what you want and the chat picks the right tool:
- Generate the content tasks β produces every per-channel task in one pass
- Generate a full campaign β kicks off a multi-epic campaign generation (when the brief is for a season rather than a single moment)
- Brand voice firing β if your brief contradicts your brand guidelines, the chat surfaces the conflict before producing
- Attach a file β drag a PDF, image, or doc into the chat; the brief picks up the content
- Reference an MCP app β type
@to call an external app (CRM, project tracker, etc.). See External tools (MCP)
Campaign Chat vs Task Chatβ
The split matters because it changes what the chat knows about:
| Campaign Chat | Task Chat | |
|---|---|---|
| Scope | The campaign as a whole | One specific task (one post, one emailβ¦) |
| What it edits | Brief, channels, objective, personas | The actual asset β caption, image, ad copy |
| Power-up granularity | "Add Instagram to the channel list" | "Shorten this caption to 200 chars" |
| Generates | Multiple tasks across channels | One iteration of one asset |
A common workflow: brief in the Campaign Chat β generate tasks β click into a task β iterate in the Task Chat.
Suggestions and chipsβ
Like every chat in Glowtify, the Campaign Chat suggests next actions as suggestion chips below its replies β clickable shortcuts that pre-fill your next message. They're context-aware: at brief time you'll see "Add LinkedIn", "Skip questionnaire", at generation time you'll see "Generate tasks", "Refine objective", etc.
What it doesn't doβ
- It doesn't edit individual assets in detail. A caption tweak goes into the Task Chat, not the Campaign Chat.
- It doesn't publish. Scheduling and publication happen from the task editor or the calendar.
- It doesn't restart from scratch. Once tasks are generated, the chat keeps the campaign context β to start over, create a new epic.
Common issuesβ
The chat doesn't seem to know my Business DNAβ
The chat pulls from your workspace's Business DNA. If it's asking for personas you've already defined, your Business DNA may be incomplete β go to Business DNA and review.
My brief is ignored when I ask for tasksβ
If the generated tasks don't match what you briefed, try restating the brief in the chat as one paragraph (rather than spread across many messages). Glowtify uses the full conversation as context, but a recent, concise brief carries more weight than a long discussion thread.
Suggestion chips repeat what I already choseβ
Known issue β the chat sometimes proposes options you've already applied. Ignore the duplicates; the choice stuck.
The chat asks for channels I don't have connectedβ
You can still brief for them β Glowtify will generate the content. To actually publish, you'll need the connector wired before the scheduled time.
