Edit a story

Stories are the vertical, full-screen, short-lived content format on Facebook and Instagram. Glowtify has a dedicated editor for stories because the format and constraints are fundamentally different from feed posts.

See Edit an Epic for the generic layout, brief, tasks, and chat flow.

What's different about stories

  • 9:16 vertical format β€” forced by the platform
  • Up to a few seconds of visibility per frame (Stories disappear after 24h)
  • Interactive elements β€” stickers, polls, questions, links
  • Multi-frame β€” a single story can be a sequence of frames

The story editor

  • Frame list on the left β€” one row per frame in the story
  • Frame canvas in the center β€” drag text, images, stickers into the 9:16 space
  • Element properties on the right β€” sizing, colors, animations
  • Preview β€” play the story as a viewer would see it, transitions included

Platform-specific editors

Meta (Facebook + Instagram)

  • You pick the surface: Instagram story, Facebook story, or both
  • When publishing to both, media is shared but you can adjust captions per platform
  • Swipe-up link (where your account is eligible)
  • Product stickers (Instagram Shopping) when available

Safe zones

The editor shows safe zones β€” the portion of the frame not covered by the platform's own UI (profile name on top, reply field on bottom). Keep critical elements inside the safe zone.

Publishing

Stories use soft scheduling like all social publishing β€” Glowtify stores the frames and pushes them to Meta at the scheduled time.

Beware: Meta enforces rate limits and some stories are rejected based on content policy. Glowtify surfaces these failures in the Publication errors article.
