Google Ads

The Google Ads connector lets Glowtify create and run ad campaigns on Google's network — Search, Display, Shopping, Performance Max — and pull performance data back.

Prerequisites

  • A Google Ads account with billing configured
  • Access to the account (as the account owner or via an MCC / manager account)
  • Admin-level permissions if you want to create or modify campaigns from Glowtify

Google Ads billing is always on Google's side — Glowtify doesn't charge for ad spend.

Connecting Google Ads

  1. On the Connectors page, click Connect Google Ads
  2. Log in with your Google account
  3. Authorize Glowtify to manage your Ads account
  4. Glowtify pulls the list of accessible customer accounts
  5. Pick the customer account to use for this store

If you manage multiple Google Ads accounts, you pick one per Glowtify store.

  • Manage campaigns, ad groups, ads
  • Read performance data for reporting

How publication works (soft scheduling)

Google Ads uses soft scheduling — Glowtify stores campaign details and pushes them to Google Ads at the scheduled start time. Once the campaign is live, it runs according to Google's own delivery.

Campaign types supported

  • Search — text ads on Google Search results
  • Display — banner/image ads across the Google Display Network
  • Shopping — product listings (requires a Google Merchant Center setup)
  • Performance Max — AI-managed cross-surface campaigns

Token expiration

Google OAuth tokens are refreshed automatically by Glowtify using the refresh token. If Google revokes the refresh token (rare, usually after long inactivity or explicit user revocation), you'll need to reconnect.

Common issues

"Customer account not accessible"

Your permissions on the Google Ads account were revoked, or the account was suspended. Verify in Google Ads, then reconnect.

"Ad disapproved"

Google's ad review flagged the creative — common reasons: restricted categories (medical, financial, political), policy on landing page, trademark issues. Review the disapproval reason in Google Ads and adjust the ad.

"Budget exhausted"

Your Google Ads daily or lifetime budget ran out. Increase the budget in Glowtify or in Google Ads directly.

Disconnecting

From the Google Ads connector card → menu → Disconnect. Running campaigns continue on Google Ads — disconnect only stops new campaigns from being created through Glowtify.
