Google Analytics
The Google Analytics connector (GA4) gives Glowtify visibility on what's happening on your website β which pages get traffic, where it comes from, how users behave after arriving from your social or email campaigns.
Without GA connected, you still see engagement metrics (likes, opens, clicks). With GA, you get the full picture: clicks β site visits β conversions.
Prerequisitesβ
- A Google Analytics 4 property for your site (Universal Analytics has been deprecated by Google β GA4 only)
- Admin or Editor access to the GA property
Connecting Google Analyticsβ
- On the Connectors page, click Connect Google
- Log in with your Google account
- Authorize Glowtify to read GA data
- Glowtify pulls the list of accessible properties
- Pick the property that matches this Glowtify store
The properties pageβ
Inside the connector, the Properties page lets you manage which GA property is active for this Glowtify store and switch between properties if you have several. This is the page that opens when you click Manage properties.
Permissions requestedβ
- Read-only access to the selected property
We never write to your GA account.
How GA data is usedβ
- Website traffic metrics in the Glowtify analytics view
- Attribution β matching UTM-tagged traffic back to the content that drove it
- Conversion tracking β if you've set up GA conversions, they appear in Glowtify
- Audience insights β demographic and behavioral signals feed content recommendations
Common issuesβ
"No properties found"β
Your Google account has access to no GA4 properties, or only has access to Universal Analytics (deprecated). Create a GA4 property first in the Google Analytics admin.
"Access denied"β
Your access level was downgraded to Viewer (which can't use the Data API). Ask the property owner to give you Editor or Admin.
"Data looks stale"β
GA itself has processing delays (up to 24β48 hours for full data). Glowtify shows exactly what the GA API returns β we don't re-process or smooth it.
Disconnectingβ
From the GA connector card β menu β Disconnect. Glowtify stops pulling data; historical data already fetched stays visible in Analytics until you delete the store.
