LinkedIn

The LinkedIn connector lets Glowtify publish posts on LinkedIn Company Pages (organizations) and retrieve engagement data.

Prerequisites

  • Access to at least one LinkedIn Company Page as an admin, content admin, or super admin
  • A personal LinkedIn account to authorize the connection

Personal profile posts are not supported — Glowtify publishes only to organization pages.

Connecting LinkedIn

  1. On the Connectors page, click Connect LinkedIn
  2. Log in with your LinkedIn personal account
  3. Authorize the permissions requested
  4. Glowtify pulls the list of organizations you admin
  5. Pick the organization(s) to enable

If you admin multiple organizations, you can enable several under a single connection.

Permissions requested

  • Publish posts as the selected organization
  • Read social actions (likes, comments, reposts) for insights

How publication works (soft scheduling)

LinkedIn uses soft scheduling. Glowtify stores content and publishes via LinkedIn's API at the scheduled time.

Destination: linkedin.

Format specifics

  • Caption up to 3 000 characters
  • Images support JPG, PNG
  • Videos support MP4, up to ~15 minutes and ~5 GB (LinkedIn's own limits)
  • Article format for long-form content (separate endpoint; Glowtify's blog editor handles this)

Token expiration

LinkedIn tokens last ~60 days by default. Reconnect from the LinkedIn connector card when Glowtify flags expiration.

Common issues

"Publication failed — not authorized for this organization"

Your LinkedIn admin rights on the org have been revoked, or the org has restricted third-party posting. Check your role on LinkedIn and re-authorize if needed.

"Caption too long"

LinkedIn enforces 3 000 characters hard. Shorten, or consider the long-form article format.

"Media format not supported"

LinkedIn rejects certain file types. Convert to a supported format (JPG, PNG, MP4) before retrying.

Disconnecting

From the LinkedIn connector card → menu → Disconnect. Same behavior as other connectors: past posts stay, future scheduled ones stop.
