Connection failed

Trying to connect a channel and hitting an error? Let's narrow it down.

"Keeps failing to connect to Facebook Ads"

One of the most common support questions. A few reasons it happens:

You don't have admin on the Ad Account

Meta's OAuth only exposes ad accounts where you're an admin (or have ads_management role). If your Meta user has only "Analyst" or "Advertiser" role, Glowtify can't see the account.

Fix: ask the ad account admin to upgrade your role in Facebook Business Settings.

The Meta Page isn't linked to an Ad Account

Facebook Ads require a Page + an Ad Account in the same Business Manager. If your Page isn't attached, no campaigns can be created.

Fix: in Meta Business Settings → Ad Accounts → add your Page as a linked asset.

You're using a personal ad account, not a Business one

Personal ad accounts don't expose the Marketing API. Only Business Manager ad accounts are supported.

Fix: migrate to Business Manager (free, takes a few minutes).

OAuth pops open, but nothing happens after

Usually a popup blocker. Make sure pop-ups are allowed for app.glowtify.com. Also try in an incognito window — browser extensions sometimes interfere with OAuth flows.

"Permission denied" on reconnection

Your role on the platform changed since the last connection (fired from a company, left an agency, etc.). Glowtify is trying to connect with permissions you no longer have.

Fix: have the current admin re-grant you access, or connect with a different user who has the right permissions.

"Callback URL mismatch" errors

This is almost always a platform-side config drift, usually right after a Glowtify release. If you see it, send us a screenshot — we'll fix on our side immediately.

API key doesn't work (Klaviyo, CyberImpact)

For key-based connectors:

  • Make sure you copied the private API key, not the public site tracking one
  • Key scopes must include the required permissions (campaigns, audiences, profiles for Klaviyo)
  • Some platforms regenerate keys — if you recently regenerated, the old one is dead

"Page not found" when picking accounts after OAuth

The account/page list didn't load. Usually a transient network issue — refresh and try again. If it persists, sign out of Glowtify and the target platform, then reconnect fresh.
